Killing Jad for Slayer

This is the first time I have even attempted the Fight Caves, because the bonus slayer xp from Kuradal if I am successful is just too good to pass up. I've browsed a lot of guides and many of them seem outdated or have confusing language. They also tend to be geared toward everyone, so I have some specific questions about how a high level should approach this task.

 

First off, my levels:

 

95 Attack, Strength, and Defense

99 Magic

85 Range

95 Prayer (with access to curses)

131 Combat

 

1. What would be the ideal equipment set up for me? Is Guthan's even worth taking anymore?

 

2. What should my inventory look like? Money is not really an object here, although I'm hoping not to spend more than a few million.

 

3. Which monsters should I pray on besides Jad and the 360s?

 

4. I've heard that claws and deflect prayers are good for killing Jad quickly. Since I have access to both, how does this work?

 

5. How do I handle the healers? Do I kill them, or try to trap them behind something?

Nah don't bother with guthan's you can soul split. Bring 4 brews, 3 range pots rest prayer pots/obvious stuff. Take void or dhide top v skirt. Attack healers when they appear. I don't suggest clawing jad, seems a bit risky if you don't know what you are doing. A good tip about prayer switching is always switch to mage after he attacks, but if you see him stomp, then pray range. After the hit hits, go back to mage again. IDK if you get it, but its much easier to see his range attack than his mage attack.

Cape - soulwars

Amulet - fury

Weapon - whip

Shield - defender

Ammo - rune bolts

Top - karils/hides

Bottom - karils/hides

Gloves - barrows

Boots - dragon

Ring - Onyx/Dstone/Diamond (i) or Berserker/Archer

 

Inventory:

Enhanced Excalibur

Rune crossbow

5 Saradomin Brew

5 Super restore

1 Extreme Attack / 2 Super attack

1 Extreme Strength / 2 super strength

1 Extreme Ranged and 1 overload (jad) / 2 ranged potion

12 Super prayer / 10 prayer potion

 

Turmoil and melee everything, ranged the 360s with leech ranged, heal with soulsplit and EE. I can finish a task in under 45 minutes with this setup.

Thanks bladewing! I used your setup and I beat Jad on my first try. I always thought that you had to range the fight caves, but I much prefer this method.
