Hey, this'll be a quick to-the-point post.

 

Have the admins thought of adding a "vent" sticked topic to the rants forum? For everyday rants that perhaps either don't have much discussion value, or are more common. Because lots of times I want to post a rant, but I know not much thoughtful discussion will come out of it, so putting in a topic like this, will help that problem. L. I'm not sure if the admins have tried this before and it worked or not, since until recently I never went to the rants section, but it could be called "Everyday problems" with posts like

 

"Argh! My snaps just KEEP ON DYING!!"

 

"Why do I keep dc'ing in Dungeoneering solo? This is RIDICULOUS!"

 

"Why do I KEEP ON FAILING OLAF'S BRIDGE?!?!?!" (applies to someone in my cc, hehe)

 

^^ both those apply to me L

 

But if those are of any use as to what kind of posts will be in the topic, as to be honest, there is no discussion, and they aren't really a big enough deal for their own topic.

Rants don't need discussion value.

They are purely 110% about venting regardless of replies or debate or w/e

They aren't all 100% (let alone 110%) about venting, There's been a few constructive posts... hence I said few.

 

The only problem I can think about it is that It'll have a full thread with so much spam it'll clutter the forums overall topics, unless they only have a lifespan of 24/48 hours to keep it clean. Except that'd be quite a bit of coding for Admins to do that.

I actually wouldn't have a problem with this. Yes the thread would have a lot of.. well.. spam.. but then again so does the RuneScape Screenshots sticky :P I understand that sometimes you just want to curse the RuneScape gods into oblivion and vent your frustration, and yet you don't feel that your complaint is really thread-worthy.

Exactly! Or, you don't want to be flamed for whining XD it's like guilt free venting.

 

On another note, I have dc'd about 20 times tonight due to my internet... It's taken me 4 hours to do one dung lvl. I gave up.

Doesn't the description of the forum say Vent? :P I don't have a problem with it at all.

Well what I mean is: a lot of the rants, people try to debate the validity of the rant... If I want to rant about why can't members be free? Etc I won't really be able to defend the validity.

 

So where do we go from here
