Clansite hiscore list

Hello,

 

I have a clansite and i wish to make a hiscore list. My clansite is on the server spruz, which is rather popular a the moment.

Now, I'd like the hiscores to be gathered from the rs site itself, so that i dont have to update it myself each time but that it gets updates automatically. I would also like it if they automatically get ordered from highest total to lowest total. Ppl using the same server told me i can only use javascript to do this, but idk how :(

 

I think tip it knows how to get the stats from rs site, cuz ur usin it for ur calcs/planners and such.. maybe if some1 could help me for the javascript? idk a thing about java :(

To make a hiscore list in the way you mentioned, you will be using quite a few coding languages. Firstly you'll have to know HTML (to code the website), PHP (to code the stat-getting ability from the hiscores), and Javascript (to sort the table).

This isn't really an easy thing to do unless you are quite experienced and willing to learn.

The way I read it he has a clan site and wants to place an ordered, self updating hiscores on to it.

 

To do this clan mates mentioned javascript and tip.it does it; so he has asked how to do it. But runehead is obviously a much easier and straight forward to do this than grabbing data urself; I believe runehead even have some code thing u can paste onto ur page these days to display the list.

Yes, you have understood what i want :) I registered on runehead and it says i need to wait 24-48 hours

(already got activated) Yes we can put it on our clansite, they offer a small java text which simply takes the info from runehead site and updates together with everything you do on runehead.

Thanks to that i also have a rather cool signature for my clan :)
