Smith or Sell?

Featured Replies

Well I have about 1,320 iron bars, and I was wondering whether I should smith it or sell it?

That depends on whether or not you want profit or smithing Xp, smithing them will lower the end value.

I swear, RuneScape must have the only economy in the world where the end product is worth less than the raw materials... :wall:

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

It's because when skillcapes came out, people started putting a value on xp  Before skillcapes, no one made it their priority to get 99s; for most people, a 99 is something you get in time as you play the game. Now if you don't have a skillcape, you are inferior to them.

In soviet Runescape, I see gaining exp being equivilant to recreational time IRL, and therefore a net loss of cash (Same with wining and dining IRL). Making money is, well, exactly that.

But RL is a waste of exp anyway, don't take my word for it.

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

The thing is that often the finished products have little use in bulk. Before summoning, how much demand was there for iron platebodies? The number of new players and 1 def pures, but certainly not enough to use up all the platebodies being smithed. Even after summoning there aren't that many people using them.

And that's just the platebodies. When are you ever going to need an iron 2h?

I understand why finished products in RS are worth less then their raw materials. It doesn't make it any less frustrating though.
