I'm just wondering what's the fastest way to collect Desert Pheonix feathers.

 

The way I've been doing it now is carpeting to Uzar from Shanty, using a Broomstick to tele back. Is there a faster way?

Spirit Larupia teleport, run to eagle's nest, use desert eagle. Duelling to castlewars to bank.

I've never used Eagle nests, do I need anything to use it? Or is it infinite use after the quest?

Nope, I mean Larupia, and I think you need to do Eagle's Peak and you have to unlock the routes. You need to bring a rope.

Larupia teles you to the Jungle area though, doesn't it?

And do I need a rope every trip?

Yes, the jungle nest is closer to larupia's teleport. You need to have a rope each trip, but it doesn't consume the rope.

oh, didn't realize there was a nest in the Jungle (that's how much I've used Nests :P)

Where in the jungle is the nest, I only see 3 Transport Icons there, the fairy ring, glider, and Ogre boat.

ok, so I found a giant hill with two caves, which I assume is the nest

 

I can't reach either cave, using a rope on either cave doesn't work, there is a small vine with a climb option, but I get a message saying it's not tall enough, using a rope on it gets the common Nothing interesting happens.

There will be a little vine there. You need to use a teasing stick on it and come back in a while (either 1 hour or 1 day I don't remember) and it will be fully grown. You can then climb into the nest. For the nest in the desert you have to go to it from the outside first and push some boulder out of the way.
