Is it A good idea to use the 'bonecrusher' at Skeleton Monkeys?

Featured Replies

Normally when you go to Skeleton Monkeys you pick up bones and move them around so you don't have any spawning issues - which is a pain. Would the Bonecrusher (reward from dungeoneering that automatically buries all bones and gives you pray exp when in inventory) do the same job as picking them up and moving them around or would it actually be worse (i.e. make less skeleton monkeys spawn)?

Yeah with zombie monkeys isn't it a case of theres like 3 base spawns.

But then each set of bones on its own tile within few seconds will spawn a monkey?

I think it would actually make almost none spawn, you'd be waiting for a very long time for them to spawn.

Yea that's what I figured but they reccomended it on Runescape Wiki so I'm curious if it actually isn't that way. Has anybody actually tried it out?

Zombie monkey's don't spawn from bones, but skeleton monkey's do. If you do in fact mean skeleton monkey's then no, don't use a bonecrusher. Like every 30 seconds or so one monkey respawns from one bone, on one square. No bone = no respawn.

Exactly what I was going to say.

Zombie moneys are a yes. ANY monster (except skeleton monkeys and monsters with no bone drops, and dragons) is "worth" bringing a bonecrusher to. However, getting a bonecrusher for it? Not so much. If you already have it, by all means.

Yes I did mean skeleton monkies (and I edited). I get what you're saying but now I'm just looking for someone to actually go and confirm it.
