is this a good start

ok, so dank mary420 is my new tank of about a week now. Ive read a couple of guides on how to make a range tank, but i think im leaning torwards a hybrid (or so i think)

 

Current combat stats - short term goals

 

atk/str -----1 - 20

range------36 - 40

mage------35 - 40

def---------10 - 20

prayer-----1

HP----------30 - whatever it comes out to be

 

What im asking i guess is am i on the right track

I dont know much about pking, but by hybrid, do you mean range 2h? if so, you want def to be low (1). You want 40 atk for rune weapons, the highest range and strength lvls possible, and whatever resulting hp lvl you get. Some will say prayer will wreck your pker, other will say the opposite. Just for [cabbage]s, i ran through a potential resultant for a maxed range 2her.

Str: 99

Def: 1

Range: 99

Const: 90

 

Combat: 70

 

If you want 13 prayer for 10% str, youll be 72 combat. If you want 25 prayer for protect item, expect 73 combat. If you want 31 for 15% str, expect 74 combat. Based on these results, you should either not get prayer, or go all the way imo. i dont think 10% str is worth 2 combat lvls when you could get 15% and protect item for 4. But then again, i dont really know much about pking.

Only problem with your idea is he already has been training defense... Think for f2p you would have been better of with 1 defense/prayer, 40 attack and high as possible range/strength.

Its definitely not too late to start again. You may have just lost a day or two worth of work. Better to find out now rather than later.

I'm 99 range and mage with 75 defence for dfs and I do quite well in the Wilderness if I do say so myself ;)

 

Stay 45 defence until you know that you want 70 for Torag's helm/legs.

Ya im f2p right now but a future p2p player, i fugured to get about 60 range/mage and 40 def then to go p2p.

 

Or should i stay f2p longer or go p2p earlier?
