in your guide, you have written that you CANNOT teleport to Rimmington while followed by the Old Wise Man.

 

Well, you CAN

I used explorer ring to get half run to there, and Old Wise Man followed, teleporting himself there too, together.

 

If You choose to have a spare space in inventory, you can run all the way

But otherways you CAN choose to teleport and it works

:)

I would imagine its reference to the fact it you go "to far off route" WOM buggers off. The only direct tele to rimmington is via house nd i believe the house teleport mechanics trigger the too far off route system; even when set to tele you to outside ur house.

 

Plus explorers ring tele is hardly useful, the teleport animation probably is equaly to if not longer than the time it takes to run from draynor bank to tht field

Well when I was doing the quest I left Draynor on foot and noted a clan mate cabbage porting away as I left.

That clan mate then ran out of the cabbage field gate slightly behind me.

I just tested it with a guy on my friend list. Not even close. Perhaps the person teleported once, then again later or ended up running north after clicking too quickly and not realizing that the gate was closed for some time.

 

Not even remotely close.
