July 11, 201016 yr Back before the GE came out (late 2007) I went on a brewing kick, making a ton of Chef's Delight so I'd have something interesting to sell when the GE finally opened. I remember that it usually took about a day for the ales to finish, maybe sometimes a bit longer but a day was usually pretty right on. All of the ales crashed on the GE right after it came out, so I stopped and never really went back. Well, about a month ago I started up again. I thought that I could do with some Greenman's Ale(m), so I figured that I'd give it another chance. The problem I'm having is that the brews are taking a minimum of three days to finish now, and sometimes nearly a week. So, I'm trying to figure out a few things.... 1) Am I just having a really, really bad streak of luck? 2) Did Jagex make a change to brewing to make it take longer? 3) Is this some kind of bug that just went unnoticed because so few people actually do brewing. It's frustrating the heck out of me, and I'd love to hear if this is happening to anyone else.
July 11, 201016 yr I've been brewing for several months now, and I usually check them every 3 days. Sometimes 2 if I feel up to it, but alot of times they weren't ready in 2 days. I don't think there's a set time for them to brew, some take a long time, while others are faster.
July 11, 201016 yr Author It's just driving me crazy because I know that it used to only take one day, and I suspect that some unrelated update that happened sometime in the last three years unintentionally changed it so that it's now 3-7 days. I guess that I'll just have to accept it, but it's really frustrating.
