Oh Look! Herblore! (NEW QUESTION LAST POST)

UnknownRemoval

Recommended Posts

While I'm working on Slayer I plan to save the drops I get and use them to help train my Herblore up (currently at 70).

I will be making super attacks for the majority of the earlier levels due to low cost, but I'm wondering about what to make for when I reach the higher levels, and how many of each.

Should I make Recover Specials from 84 to 86, Super Antifires from 86 to 88, Extreme Attacks from 88 to 89, Extreme Strengths for 89 to 90, and Extreme Defences for 90 to 91.

(Making all the potions needed for these before I hit these levels of course)

Or will this not give me a decent amount of potions? As I'm not entirely sure what a decent amount actually is.

make spec restores from 84-85, then as many antifires as you think you'll ever need. Then continue to make spec restores until 88. Now make ~2.3k extreme attacks (88-89), ~2.2k extreme strengths (89-90), ~2.2k extreme defs, (90-91), ~2.2k extreme magics (91-92), and ~2.2k extreme ranges (92-93), now make either as many more extreme magics as you need to get 94, then as many super prayers as you'll ever need, followed by more extreme magics to 96 then ~2.2k overloads, or stew to overloads from 93 and then make as many super prayers as you'll ever need.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

I'd make as few recover specials as possible. People tell me that they use them, but I hate them and to me they are just a pure waste of money and bank space.

I personally started making anti-fires at 84 with a Greenman's Ale. It may be more expensive XP, but at least you'll be able to make some use of them.

I love you.

Don't bother doing it yourself on the tradeable pots. At all. Better to get to 85 using whatever cheap/efficient method possible and then buy supers to make extremes.

You will want some amount of all extremes by the time you hit 91 so you can stew and assemble them into overloads. Overload requires xmage and xrange too.

Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

Exactly, once you are able to make extremes, make them. You'll really be hurting yourself if you don't, since you're going to have to make hundreds of them anyway for overloads.

I have an unpopular opinion on this, but...

I think extremes are relatively expensive exp especially since they lock up a lot of money into an untradeable investment. Especially xstr/xrange. I think it's a good idea to do tradeable pots sometimes, if they're cheaper/efficient exp for you, and only make a smaller stash of extremes. If anything, you work through extremes slower than supers, since they've got a bigger boost to drain through, and even a few hundred of each is a pretty large stash. Depending on how much of your cash pile you're willing to squirrel away in nice but expensive xpots, you may also want to consider making tradeables after 85.

Your idea for thousands of extremes will last you months and months, locking up many mils that you might want to use for something else meanwhile. If that works for you, then sure. But it may be better to make a smaller stash and them come back later when you need more.

Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

Looks like a copy-paste of one of my old posts haha. Regardless, thats exactly how it should be done.
