Good Slayer Setup

I recently decided to get 99 att through slayer and i sold my guthans as im finding no use for it other than barrows which i stopped doing due to a dry chest run. I was wondering what i should use for a setup for slayer ill list the current things i have as well as the "excludibles" (things i refuse to buy or use).

EDIT: I do have around 20m to spend on gear so that rules out and bandos parts

Things i currently have:

Full Slayer Helm

Whip

Rune Defender

Toktz-ket-xil (obby shield)

Dragon Boots

Barrows Gloves

Defence Cape(t)

Ard cape 3

Warrior Ring

Glory

Fighter Torso

Excludibles:

Cannon ( too expensive for my likeing)

Prayer pots (i use the herbs i get from slayer to make the pots i need for praying) *note* I DO NOT use piety as even though it does speed up tasks i dont see an absolute need for it because i dont power slay

Fury (Same as Cannon its too expensive for the small bonuses over glory it provides at 99 def)

I would say a decent crush weapon. Zammy spear comes to mind. Then save money and charms to get 88 summon for unicorn

Im saving up my charms for 88 atm but in order to get more without bursting or something like that ill need to get training =]

Dont forget to have some magic defense boost for those tasks that put you against monsters with a magic based attack.

Your exclusions and budget are really your only limitations, gear looks pretty good except for a few specialized peices for given tasks (as mentioned magic defense gear, crush weapon, etc. )

Why do you come asking for advice on what gear to get, while saying NO in advance to every gear upgrade?

My recommendations:

Buy a fury

Buy a berserker ring

Buy an armored leg piece (verac's/dharok's/torag's)

Buy super attack and strengths

Fury >>>>>>>> BCP.

+2 to strength and prayer (not to mention the +12 magic defense, which is always nice) versus a +4 to strength and a -7 to prayer of the BCP. Not to mention that tassets are pretty much the same as a V skirt.

In conclusion, fury is awesome.

I've done tests with the fury AND glory at 99 defence and in the end i didnt see that much of a diffrence other than pray bonus for the fury over the glory therefor im NOT going to buy the fury simple as that.

Slayer helm

Glory

Guthan's plate

Torag's legs

Dragon boots

Fire cape

Abyssal whip

Rune defender

Warrior ring

Barrows gloves

This is the cheapest setup for your purposes in accordance to your guidelines. However, this setup is utter trash considering your combat stats, and you should consider using the following instead, which will greatly increase your speed, saving you money in the long run:

Full slayer helm

Fury

Proselyte plate

Verac's skirt

Dragon boots

Fire cape

Abyssal whip

Rune defender

Berzerker ring

Barrows gloves

Use piety and super sets at all times. Consider that you can sell the expensive parts back for minimal loss but hours of your time saved.

You really shouldn't post H&A topics if you're going to shoot down every possible suggestion before they're even made.

Like it or not, it makes a big enough difference to be worth the price tag, but I suppose you'll ignore this along with the rest of my post.

I'm actually impressed. Good for you.

Any suggestions on how i can get better at pray switching so i can go for my fire cape? I thought bout taking 2 pray pots and going to TD's and just practicing pray switching as they change attacks.

Td's works, but you need both a spot where only one attacks you, and no people to crash you. And don't mess up (other people's) lures, people get annoyed by that, and rightly so.
