Plague City [Help]

I'm trying to get the key to allow Elena to escape. But for some reason, using tip.it quest help, I search the correct barrel and it just says the usuall: "nothings in here etc etc" Could someone give me a hint why I can't pick it up... maybe a glitch in RS server.

What does your quest journal say? Perhaps you missed a step, or you're not at the correct barrel.

No I got the warrent from Barrak (or whatever the **** his name is) But oddly the quest journal says I still need to talk to that 'dude' again. However, here's where things get wierd. I can enter the plague house. So, in the words of Egoraptor: "Yeah, so I don't know what the **** to do."

Did you show the warrant to one of the mourners? Use it on one of them, then check the barrel for the key.

Oh the irony, I actually did skip a step. I made the potion before I got the recipe. Lol. It's good now, quest complete thanks for the contributions guys.
