This is one of my first pixels, but i do have some experience. It's not shaded at all (except for the hood) and I'll post the updated one when I finish shading.

looks enspired by Random's character, would look nice if you shaded it in and sorted out the proportions.

cool, thanks :D Personally I think the hood is extremely wide, and some other proportions do look off.

Pretty nice for one of your first ones. Like Terley said, just add much shading to not keep it so plain, you got the lineart part down pretty well, maybe make his legs/bottom robe longer. The staff, compared to the one in RS, is a bit small in proportion. In RS it's taller than the character and the circle part is bigger than the player's head; in your pic it's too small and looks like an old school microphone. :P
