Money from combat?

I'm brand new to this forum and sort of new to RS. I want to start making some money from combat and leveling up and need help figuring out the best way to do that.

 

I have:

Attack 64

Strength 66

Defense 60

Constitution 64

Prayer 29

Summoning 18

 

Am I good enough to start making a decent profit, how would I go about doing that and what would you suggest I wear and bring with me? If not, then what do I need to work on?

Slayer, over the long run you profit pretty much any method you do, including powerslaying at higher levels.

 

Definitely get into slayer, the longer u wait the bigger a waste of time it is. My melee exp flies by because of slayer and its actually fun and as I said profit. Definitely do the quest smoking kills as soon as you can for slayer rewards.

 

If you want profit you can do a number of things from green dragons although very crowded and better to have higher stats. You could even camp lvl 2 men in edgeville for herb drops.

Slaying or nothing. I've made a good 150+ mil that I can remember and I'm 91. It's more than worth it, especially since you'll be training combat anyways.

Thanks guys, I'm 30 slayer right now. Should I get my tasks from Vannaka or Chaeldar? My combat level is 79 so I'm a little concerned that Chaeldars tasks will be too difficult.

Tasks are rarely too difficult unless you're getting steel dragons at Duradel/Lapalok at 100 combat... but even that is quite doable. Do the highest you can and you'll be fine.

If you have a decent range or magic level pretty much all tasks have an 'easy' way, safespot, or just the creature is significantly weak to one type, etc. I always used the highest slayer master i could.

If you feel the tasks from the highest master are too hard, just do the lower one except every 10 tasks (Once you get Smoking Kills done, for the points).
