I'm not very good just got back into it after a few years but I can ollie, 180, shuvit(sort of), kickflip.. kinda, and can almost heelflip.

I(think) I ollie pretty high.. about 1'-1 1/2' or so.

I started relearning to skate about 3 weeks ago. I can nearly ollie consistently, but i'm still working on it. I'm mainly using it as a means of getting from a to b in 5 mins rather than 15. I bought this shop set up for S$ 95, which is about £40. I don't know what that is in US $, but its quite cheap for a board. When I got it the trucks were hella loose and the wheels had a lot of play in them but I've tightened everything thing up and now it rides nicely.

Its only one colour, bright orange, and its awesome.

I'm gonna start going to the skate park more regularly and try and get some tips on riding and tricks.

I have a skateboard. I can stand on it without hurting myself, sometimes. It's on the list of things that I never learned to do. But I won the board in a raffle so it doesn't really matter.

Same here.

BMX is the way forward. Woodpushers always get in the way...

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

One piece of advice to anyone who is considering starting/skateboards;

Wear a helmet.

@Tim; Longboards are more for cruising though it is possible to do some fancy tricks on them, mostly "dancing" moves.

I'm gonna get some new wheels also. Probably some Bones STF 52mm.

They average at about $30! Didn't know good wheels cost so much.

Today I went out to practice my moving ollies and manuals.

Manuals are pretty easy, but nose manuals are pretty hard.

I also nailed 3 moving ollies in a row. It's good for me since I'm a noobie.

I used to skate about a year ago, but then my neighbor broke my board and I never got around to buying another one.

This was my board:

I put a Blind sticker on it, too, hence my username.

Roses are red,

Violets are blue.

This line doesn't rhyme,

And neither does this one.
