Dupin
I'm losing my Runescape membership rather unexpectedly (I have less than two days) and I'm not sure what to sell. I will probably get membership back at some point, but I don't want to have a bunch of members items in my bank losing value and not be able to dump them. -I have a bunch of monkfish, cooked and uncooked. I'm thinking I'll sell these, as they're falling.-I have some mid-value members items, such as a whip, dragon platelegs, full slayer helm, dragon boots, dragon hatchet, and some other random junk. Would it be wise to sell these, seeing as they'll lose value as new armor is released, or should I not worry about it?-I will have a decent cash pile (probably a bit over 20m) after cleaning my bank. Is it better to invest this in an item, or keep it as cash? Miscellania--I have a fully operational kingdom with about 7m in the coffers. Does anyone know what happens to a kingdom when a member becomes F2P? I think it would be best to transfer that money to my bank and dump any resources collected, but if the kingdom stays operational while I'm F2P it might be worth leaving alone. F2P Training--I may decide to play while F2P. It will be less efficient, but I could still do stuff. I have already decided not to do any combat without my whip, and I have 99 Woodcutting. That leaves Cooking (ridiculously slow), Mining and Smithing (maybe), Crafting (much more efficient in P2P), Runecrafting (boring), Fishing (salmon and trout at barb vill could be worthwhile), Dung (no thanks) and Firemaking. I've got some maple logs in the bank, so that seems to be my best option. Does anyone have advice for training in F2P that wouldn't be boring and inefficient in comparison to P2P? Norriie
F2p is almost always going to be more crowded and much less efficient in terms of training.Firemaking is a decent option, since it's pretty much the same either way, but due to crowding you might be fighting for a spot all the time.Personally I'd do dung, I admit I'm not a pro at the skill, I haven't really done it a lot, but atleast you won't have to deal with the general overpopulation problems that you get in free worlds. I'm almost positive that miscellania does not work when you go f2p. Some verification on this would be good but I'm pretty sure about it. Whether or not you should sell your stuff kind of depends on how long you think you'll be without members. If it's just for a month or so, then just keep your things. If you think it could be for a long time, it would probably be worth selling. As for investments, I'm not really sure. I've never tried any of that myself. Bladewing
Cooking - actually one of the better ones to do in F2P since the best way to train (wines) is available to free players as well.Mining - you could mine iron to 80, but I wouldn't train it past there cause LRC gold mines are so much betterCrafting - don'tRunecrafting - don'tFishing - yeah fly fishing is alright, not as great as heavy rod but it's alrightFiremaking - a good one to do, burn yews at the GE How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
010jonathan
Also alching and/or superheating is possible to do in f2p
Dupin
Thank you very much for your responses. I have emptied my kingdom, and will do one last Bork run. I put in an offer for a bunch of jugs of water, but I doubt I'll get any. Right now I plan to burn my maple logs, then maybe some mining/ superheating. I think I'll keep the mems weapons and armor, as I would prefer to not have to buy it when/if I come back. I'm still debating selling the monkfish. I was going to cook all the uncooked ones, then have plenty of food, but it seems like a waste to have them sit in my bank while the price falls. 010jonathan
I see you'll be mining. Other than powermining, I can suggest another way of mining. It's not the best xp rate but the xp rate is not THAT bad and it's if you like quietness You can mine coal in lvl 9 wildy northwest of Edgeville, there are PLENTY of coal there and no one ever mines there. It's further walking than from falador bank to the mining guild but at least there's no competition, and no bots! If you take addy ores to the mines, you are able to get +- 20k mining xp per hour and you can mine 150 coal each inventory. You superheat at the mines. If I remember correctly, I also happen to make 100-150k cash per hour but I'm uncertain about that last number. I can recommend this if you don't like competition and are frustrated a lot by bots :P

Aren't the skeletons at that mine permanently aggressive because it's the wilderness? I would think they would be more of a nuisance than the bots. At least I won't have to worry about competition. They're not permanent aggressive, after +- 10 minutes they stop attacking. I wear green dragonhide and I'm doing just fine. Also, only revenant orks pass through the mines (and lower leveled noob revs) so if you're 112+ combat you shouldn't worry about revs.
