Tormented Demons

Featured Replies

Ok well I've never been TD's and would like to go soon. I've read a few guides and videos but have a few more questions. I have maxed melee, 88 range and unicorn.

1.) Where should I kill them? North east, North west or South?

2.) Fire Cape, Soul Wars Cape, Slayer Cape or Accumulator?

3.) What arrows?

4.) What invo?

5.) Helm of Neitznot, Fury, Rune Cbow/whip, Dragonfire, Karils top and skirt, dragon boots, barrows gloves, ring of life(for now). Is this a good setup?

6.) Is sound recommended or will watching the attacks be enough?

i suppose you are going to start by killing only one spawn. in this case the north east, north west, or south west spots would all work. there is also a just-plain-north spot which is in my opinion more versatile and advanced, and should be used for more than one spawn, so bear that in mind. i presume by north-east you're talking about the spot near on the east side of the large rock, directly south of a pillar

2.) Fire Cape, Soul Wars Cape, Slayer Cape or Accumulator?

i use soul wars cape. accumulator does not work in some spots, so you'll have to try it at some point to see if it's even something to consider. i wouldn't take it only for the range attack bonus unless you are duo single-styling

3.) What arrows?

you mean bolts? broads work fine.

4.) What invo?

look at a guide and just take fewer prayer pots and more food. at least for your first trip. i bring 9 p pots on a 40 minute trip which leaves me room for 7 brews (i don't use them all). so go for a very short trip at first taking 10 sharks and just try to do a few kills. also, using EE will greatly change your food requirements.

5.) Helm of Neitznot, Fury, Rune Cbow/whip, Dragonfire, Karils top and skirt, dragon boots, barrows gloves, ring of life(for now). Is this a good setup?

karils = d hide. in diffferent situations, either one can be better than the other. i'd just take d hide for your first trip since you might die.

eventually you should try to replace the DFS with a rune defender (optionally also unholy book but i do not bother with that)

6.) Is sound recommended or will watching the attacks be enough?

i do not use sound, but the attack styles are very distinctive from eachother, so it might be useful to you. also, you can hear incoming magic attacks sometimes even if the demon is not within view ( i mean not in the camera angle)

Thanks for the post.

Also - Should I piety every time I attack with melee?

perhaps not when you start, but for every attack that i use against tormented demons, i use a corresponding boosting prayer (piety or eagle eye), unless i am using titan. it's up to you if you can / should flash them or not. i choose not to. make sure to piety for darklight though.

Flash Piety once you are comfortable with it. Usually the people that die are those who try to overextend themselves, panic, and die.
