I get it every month and I go to the shop today and I see it advertised as coming with a "Collectors Edition Movie Cell from King Kong"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now this seemed pretty cool. Heres a pic of one of the other film cells ive got.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Its a couple of cells from Back to the Future II with Marty and Biff as an old man.

All this is is a piece of plastic with a picture printed on it. This is NOT a "limited edition movie cell" at all. This is just a con. Its not even rare. look at the number on it... 1/17009 thats 1 of 4 different kinds and over 17k versions of it at least printed. What a load of rubbish. This doesnt deserve to be called a movie cell its such poor quality and i feel ive been robbed by TotalFilm for false advertising. :cry:

Well although I don't get the magazine, I would feel the same way as you had I bought it expecting something better than that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can't make out whats going on in the frame, all I can really be sure of is the large gorilla.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And how did you get your BTTF2 frames, they are awesome. And incomparable to the King Kong one. But did you buy them specially, or receive them with a magazine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My opinion is that you get what you pay for, I wouldn't expect anything better from a magazine (maybe a bit more clarity), but they arent going to do anything special without charging a mint.

Heh, that back to the future thingy looks really good. The King Kong film cell isn't too bad, for a 'free' item. I'll put some of my film cells up later. I'm going to order the Alien film cell which is limited to 1000 copies later, I hope. :)

Maybe i'll mail this Kong cell to you then lol, then you can see how pants it is. Free item or not its still NOT a movie cell. Its just printed acetate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh, and I hope you dont pay too much for the Alien cells though Daan, they really ARNT collectable no matter what people say. They are cool to have but generally film cells (unless signed) arn't worth more than a few quid really.

Not too expensive. And since I'm an Alien fan it would be nice, but I'm still thinking it trough.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mmm thats not a bad price actually. I certainly wouldnt pay any more than that. You expect to pay at least a fiver for a strip of 4-5 cells and theres two in that. Plus its got a mini poster thing and its framed. mmmm my parents told me the otherday i should get a picture for my room to stop it looking so plain. ill hand this up instead. :D
