Nomad Help/ Possible Glitch

Ive already died about 6 or 7 times there and spent at least 1mil not counting the 50 brews and 40 super restores i already had. The last 2 times ive fought him ive got him down to a quarter of his health left, he heals, i get him back to a quarter health and then he does the coward thing even though im fighting him. I know he is suppose to fully heal if you hide but im not hiding while doing it, only to heal then right back to attacking. Ive had enough kyatt scrolls and supplies to kill him at a quarter health but not all the way again. I have the strategy down but there's just no way i could kill him twice in one run. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Are you hiding at all? I think you only have 8 seconds during that special attack. Sorry that's all the advice I can give other than watch this video if you haven't seen it.

Yeah im hiding but i know that once he says face me you need to attack him. I was fighting him, as in attacking him when he just suddenly teleported back to the center and healed. I wasnt even behind a pillar when it happened

I'm gonna guess you are ranging him from beside the pillar?

 

If so that would be why, when you get him to 1/4 health the second time he goes to the berserker stage in which he melees.

If you're using the pillar spot he is trapped and cannot hit you when he is meleeing, if he cannot hit you he will yell face me and then coward.

 

When he goes berserk you either gotta come out and tank him or dance back and forth between the front and back of pillar everytime he says face me so that he can get 1 - 2 hits (hopefully 0s) on you and thus not heal.

I remember having the same problem on my 1st try against him.

 

You have to realise that in beserker mode, he uses MELLEE range. Previously he had been using MAGE range. Therefore, you really have to stand right next to him in order to stop him running off.

 

When this happened to me, I decided to just home tele from behind a pillar... which is why I can honestly say he never killed me, but not that I did it on my first try.

Also, if your Kyatt goes inbetween you and Nomad, he will reset

I wish I would have read the rest of the replies because I just did the same thing, I didnt realize I had to confront him when he went into berserk mode. Thanks for the help, now time to killl him
