August 20, 201015 yr I really enjoy having the ability to cancel different slayer tasks with reward points when getting new assignments. It can make slayer alot less boring at points. However, in terms of random events, i think it would be nice if we could cancel 1-5 different randoms according to a players quest points (or total level perhaps). Being a player with only satallite internet some randoms like the Maze or Molly and Her Evil Twin can take alot longer and become super frustrating. Anyone else agree?
August 20, 201015 yr Randoms are so rare these days anyway, unless you pwoer train in a random free zone for 5 hours+ then leave (which basically always generates a random) your lucky if u see 1 random a month. Just deal with em and move on. August 20, 201015 yr Not really. They're pretty rare for anyone with normal playing habits, certainly not difficult, and the rewards are respectable for the effort. ~ W ~
August 21, 201015 yr Random events occur every 300-400k total exp you gain, although this figure can be inflated or deflated depending on your location and your current activity. That's pretty damn often, if you ask me. In fact, I'd like the ability to cancel randoms outright. Yes, the "macroing" issue. Let's be honest though, are randoms really stopping them? Also, just make this ability very elite in requirements. No one with 2000 total, for example, is risking their account by macroing, or at least I'd like to believe. ~It's Super Effective! August 21, 201015 yr Meh, I agree there are the randoms that I can't stand (Mime GRRRRR  ) but that said, the ability to cancel them would just add another layer of powerbuilding to the game.... people would just cancel events that didn't give lamps or books of knowledge as the rewards. They are fairly rare so I personally would rather see game editing done to other sections of Runescape As for making macros easier.... I'm pretty sure that if people can make a macro defeat one random, they can own em all. I've gone for about 1.5mil xp bouncing around all sorts of skills in areas you can get randoms without getting one. I've gone for about 1.5mil xp bouncing around all sorts of skills in areas you can get randoms without getting one. For the past few months I've been using the XP Tracker to track how long it takes for me to get a random, and it consistently falls in the 300k-400k xp range. I've had a few friends help me, and the trend remains true. Granted, there are a few chance exceptions. Sometimes I get up to 800k before I get a random. Other times, it's just because what I'm doing. On a long Dungoneering Spree, I got it up to 1.5m before getting a random, simply because I was mostly doing an activity that doesn't permit randoms. ~It's Super Effective! August 21, 201015 yr If I had the ability to random cancel, I would cancel everything that didn't give clothing/emotes/lamps as part of the reward. Which pretty much rules out 2/3rds of the events. August 21, 201015 yr I still don't believe that randoms appear often enough for Jagex to spend effort with this non-issue. If this actually bothered anyone, they wouldn't have survived a few years ago. ~ W ~
August 21, 201015 yr Author I find it hard to believe, because i get atleast 4 randoms a day, easily from slayer. And just imagine trying to grab molly's evil twin will a claw when there's a 3-4 second delay on every action i make =(
