Mr_Adam
I have a pain on the bottom of my foot, at the arch just before the ball before the big toe (I hope that's clear enough). It comes even when I walk, in a pressure-type of pain. Anyway, I think it's a result of running in cleats for soccer, and a failing arch support in the shoe, or the fact that it isn't laced properly (I think it's less tight as a result, near the hurt area). How can I avoid this from continuing/getting worse? Would something like Dr. Scholl's be good to replace a failing arch support? Thanks!
Mr_Adam
I understand what you're saying, but it's really just something small. I think it's a runner's injury, because I asked my runner friend and he knew right off the bat (although I failed to get an answer because we then got very busy at work and I forgot to ask as I left >_>)
obfuscator
You can't go wrong with arch support - as its good to have even with healthy feet. If it bugs you, see a doctor. Myweponsg00d
Always remember the acronym RICE RestIceCompressionElevation When you get home from practice, sit down, put your foot up on some pillows, put a cold pack on it and wrap it in an ace bandage. Also google this product called "BioFreeze". Works wonders for all the random aches and pains that I get now and then. If the pain persists or worsens, then a doctor might need to be consulted, but TBH I cant imagine wtf a doctor could tell you. I mean it sounds like some kind of muscular problem. If it was a torn ligament or a fracture youd be in so much pain that you already wouldve gone to the hospital. Sounds like a random ache right now but just keep an eye on it. Is it swollen? mactosh
sounds similar to what a lad at my training had, he got it because he runs flat footed, and the arch support in the shoes couldn't support him properly.ask someone to watch you running in a normal game or training, to make sure your not also running flat footed, if your not then take a week out, or only train lightly. if you think your boots are to blame, then buy some new ones? if it keeps bothering you you might need to get a custom shoe insert, which you can get from your doctor.in the mean time you could use "deep freeze" spray to help with the pain, as well as painkillers
