Hello again! It's been while! Anyways since my old blog a lot of things have changed with my character. My bank reached a height of 120mil (including a Santa I had bought) and I got my first ever 99 in magic (killing steels like the old days).

Anyways I decided to try this blog millarky again just with a new and bigger goal. I want 96 Herblore and to become a God Wars regular! I plan on getting the money for herblore through God Wars and will create a tab each day I go to see how much I gain/lose from going. These figures will be Solo's (mainly Graador) and yes I know my stats aren't the best and I'm likely to get crashed but oh well!

With the set up you may be wondering why I chose a defender against a dfs. The answer is because without a defender I hardly hit which resulted in about half the kills (although this is with minimal testing).

 

Feel free to add any constructive criticism on the set up by the way as I will be looking to improve it. Also I am aware this may not be the most effective way to make money at my level but I am curious as to whether I will profit from it. Anyways wish me luck!

Welcome to my blog! This is the first blog I have ever made and the goal isn't very big (well not the short term one anyway). Basically I want to cast 10000 firebolt spells on Steel/Iron dragons before I go uni (18th of September). I will be quiting then until I come back for Christmas, then Easter and then next summer. Anyway the big goal I want to achieve is my first ever 99 in magic and I want to do it doing the thing I like best about Runescape: Killing high level monsters for their juicy drops.

 

The Character:

 

I created this character not long after RS2 came out (I did play RSC but none of my accounts really got that far before I'd make another :oops: ). I've been playing with him on and off so he isn't what you would expect from an account that was made in the beginning of RS2 but I'm proud of the levels none the less. Here are the stats:

So as you can see nothing special but hopefully that will change :shades:

 

What I'm Working on Now:

 

 

As I have said in the intro I'm killing metal dragons with chaos fire bolt using chaos gauntlets. So far I've bought 40000 fire runes and 10000 chaos. If I manage to get through them before uni I may do another 5k. I will record the costs of this goal compared to the rewards to see if I make any money and if I do how much.

 

Costs

 

So far the costs are:

550k chaos runes

320k fire runes

Each trip I will take 5 antifire pots (4) which is about 45930 as well as 875 entry

 

Each bank I will put all loot in a seperate tab so I can see how much I make/lose at the end of it.

Interesting goal, good luck with the drops :mrgreen:

10k fire bolts would last you a couple of days I think, depending on how you play. And it'll probably get you into the 80s. Metal dragons do pay for themselves though, that will help build up your bank :razz:

Finished about 1k bolts last night. Got a half key and an elite clue scroll worth about 150k and got my magic up to 76. I forgot to take photo's though (come on this is my first blog entry :wink: ).

This weekend I'm busy so I doubt I'll get anything done til sunday but I got a quiet week ahead so my goal should be do-able. A visage would be nice as well..... :grin:

I've just finished a clue scroll! But it wasn't elite :mellow: Still I got a sara page 1:

 

 

So far I got just over 6k bolts left and nearing 56 prayer and 50k away from 77 magic. Sorry I haven't been posting more but sorting out uni has been priority this weekend.

Well, I'm at the end of my first lot of runs at Bandos and honetly I can't believe how much I've played today. In the end I managed to get 26 solo kills in 12 trips which is an average of 2.17 kills per trip. Can't say I'm the most efficient of PvMers but I had a blast. Here is the loot so far in a lovely tab:

 

 

The scroll is a Hob Goblin champion scroll which is my second ever champion scroll. Funnily enough the other was an Imp scroll I got getting K'ril KC a while back :-P

 

The total loot adds up to about 950k which is a loss in terms of supplies but hey, I've only just started.

 

One question though, is it better to use stab with rapier even though Gra is weak to slash? I say this because the Rapiers stab bonus is much higher than the slash.

If you want to do it seriously get a CLS.

Pretty neat idea, but I'd suggest that you get 99 in atleast all melee's first and get a CLS. Otherwise you'll be losing profit 70% of the time..

But fun is fun! Anything you feel like doing, feel free. Just abit ineffecient.

Thanks for the replies! Yeah I know it's very ineffcient and some people can get waaaay more kills per trip than me but I'm sort of using it as a way to mark progress as well. I'm hoping that a few good drops will get me 92 herby where I can stew to overloads. It would be interesting to see if this makes much of a difference at my level. Also I am very tempted to get a CLS but I'm a little dunged out at the moment so maybe in the future.

Finished boss hunting for the day now, here's my loot tab after two days:

 

 

Sold my original pair of Tassets for money towards herby and supplies. Gonna make 4/12k prayer potions towards 88 herblore which is when I can start making some extremes.

Sorry for not updating these past couple of days! I had an exam yesterday so my attention had gone to that! Anyways in the next couple of days I hope to achieve 88 herblore, more Bandos solo's and I'm thinking of going for the Fire cape today :ohnoes:

I will keep what I do today update and anything levels/drops/deaths will be posted.

Also shout out to Sydan for duoing Bandos and Zammy with me yesterday, although we got no drops it was a lot of fun :smile:

Catch up time again! Anyways I've attempted to get the fire cape twice now (both ended with Jad killing me) and plan to attempted it again sometime soon. I really want that damn cape as it will be useful at Bandos and it looks awesome! Also I managed to get:

 

 

Since this I have made 1k extreme attacks so I'm only 236k from 89 herblore.

 

Another achievement of mine is 100 solo kills! Here is the loot:

 

 

Now working with rough averages I managed to get 2 kills a trip (though this will be higher now I have extremes). The total cost of supplies used is around:

3687750gp on Rocktails

72450gp on Potions

30400 on Teletabs

600000 on War Tortoises

 

These are rough estimates but will give me some idea of how much profit I have made.

 

So my total profit is around 19.1mil.

 

I will be continuing my Graardor killing as I enjoy it however I am going to sell the tab. I need the money for more herblore levels!
