1ltraif
I'm not sure if this would work or not but I just randomly thought of it while fighting waterfiends with a Bunyip. Something I noticed is that when you use the Bunyips ability to swallow whole your character doesn't stop attacking because it's not your character making the action. So after putting about 2m into supplies which I subsequently wasted on trying to fight him the advertised way, I wondered if perhaps you could just take a range potion, 50 swallow whole scrolls, diamond bolts, as many rocktails as you can carry and a bob full of rocktails. When the fight starts dismiss the tortise and let the rocktails hit the ground, pot up and pray eagle eye or better and summon bunyip, then start shooting and using the swallow whole ability like mad. It just seems to me like you might be able to do 15k damage before you run out of rocktails. You cant actually eat any faster then normal you just dont have the pause in fighting while your attacking. Obviously I don't know if this would work out or not, and quite frankly I don't have the cash to experiment. But this just seems plausible for high level players (130+) who don't want to bother with the hiding behind the pillars and technique. I personally love quests and see this fight as the current pinnacle of all quest fights, so if this does work it seems kind of cheap to just blow through nomad like this, but having used so many resources on him I wouldn't mind doing just this if I had a little better stats and the ability to produce rocktails without spending a small fortune. Ezkaton
Also...... (sorry to hijack topic) can you still use the spam grahhk scroll attack to own him? Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
1ltraif
Yeah but once you bring brews in you have to bring in restores and thats where it gets messy. I'm certain you could combo it out with high enough stats to be more efficent then just brews at higher levels, but I just hate using brews. It seems like even when I use the hiding to drink 3 doses then shooting and going back to drink more I just slowly lose ground lol. But yeah I would bet you could work out a combo with the bunyip for when he teleports you for his freeze attack, that would be a great way to heal up and still be able to attack without wasting time. I figure if you went with the normal set-up and took maybe 8 rocktails you would have an easier time of it.

Yeah that still works according to forums and stuff, but I never tried it personally. All I have left to do is kill him to get my quest cape back, but I don't have the cash to take him on again and try that right now lol.
notasoupbowl
I found that my kyatt was doing more damage than I was by far once it was out. I was mainly brewing and spamming the special attack, so essentially it's the same as attacking while eating but you can heal more :PIn fact I didn't even bother to restore my stats once he went berserk so I could have more brews.. Should I still take my bob at first then summon kyatt or just kyatt?Use bob and use ruby (e)s with brews + super restores until your bob is empty, as soon as it is, summon kyatt and mainly use it.The bob part still helps because you would be starting with the same supplies as once the bob's empty as starting with a kyatt, and will have atleast damaged him some. You will probably want super restores partially for eagle eye and partly for melee pray once he goes berserk. Your ruby (e) specs can still activate if you aren't at perfect ranged so I wasn't concerned with making sure I was always fully restored.

Yeah I just tried it with nothing but kyatt and got him down to beserk lol, I took nothing but 200 ambushes and 27 sara brews with normal setup. I didn't think it would give me a shot at winning so I didn't prepare seriously, but oh well now I know how to do it exactly.
