So I get there, and A Life Once Lost was playing, and they were great. First song immediatly made me want to thrash into the moshpits. So I did, got a little dizzy because I used so much energy so fast. So I took a break. What an excelent band.

Norma Jean comes on after a local band plays, and was fantastic. They sounded just like their cd, which is a definite good thing. People got so crazy doing the moshes it was nuts. People would get into fights because they couldn't take a hit in the face. So they got kicked out. I soon crowd surfed all the way to the front while being fondled, and was picked up by security and let down before I fell in the front. I soon ran back to the pits while watching the show that Norma Jean so graciously gave us :D. They're last song was "Memphis Will Be Laid To Waiste", and thats a song everybody really likes. So the song starts off slow, and immediatly goes into crazy mode.... thats exactly what the crowd did. Everyone kinda looked at each other like... "are you ready for this" and WAM! Everyone goes crazy! The crowd was so large and crazy, that the people at the bars were getting hurt while just sitting down. Several pool sticks were broken. Norma Jean went off after that with a great show..

As I Lay Dying was up next, and people were not about to give in their energy for one last good set of songs. Everyone is already stinky with BO, and sweaty until their shirts are drenched. How could anybody possibly go for more.... oh but we did. They started us off with some new songs, and I loved it. At around this time sXe kids started coming into the moshpits with bandannas, and noone likes them so they got beat up pretty badly. Killswitch Engage's drummer was joining them on the tour, and he happened to step in for one of the songs, and did a drum solo that rocked everyone! Their last song was Forever.... and thats like everyone's favorite, so everybody wanted to get mad crazy at the end of this concert. So this one kid gets down on his hands and knees near the front of the crowd, and people resumed to jump off his back like a stool, and just pummel the front of the crowd. I did it too, but my jump was in cannonball form :D

All in All = one of the better concerts I've been too :D

Sounds like you had fun. When I went to see Slayer, the mosh pit was amazing. I love to mosh (not hardcore dance...) and headbang. I got punched all over the place, ribs, back, face, got some of my hair ripped out, and a guy stepped in one of the pockets on my pants and ripped the leg off at the knee. It was great. My neck hurt for like four days afterward. I had about 15 bruises on my back.

When I saw In Flames and Arch Enemy, the mosh pit was so cool. But, when I jumped in, I got punched right in the stomach by this HUGE guy. I had Mononucleosis at the time (a sickness that makes your spleen and liver swell up) and almost ruptured my liver. :( That was the last show I went to. I really want to mosh again though. :D

Moshing is so pointless.....I started a mosh pit back in HS during a school dance, that was the last time I ever did that....

Metal fans, check out my band!

I like moshing. It's a good way to vent.

I saw Norma Jean live awhile back, they sound amazing live... all in all I'm jealous of you ^^ must have been a hell of a show

i jsut saw this is hell ,the distance , with honor , and most precious blood a couple nights ago. with honor sucked so bad. the distance was cheesy as crp. this is hell and mpb were awsome. you should definitally listen to them if you like hardcore instead of nj and stuff.

All of those bands have became scene bands now. memphis will be laid to waste was a great song in its time but as soon as all the little boys and girls started flocking to shows and playing the song it became over played and pop in sorts. if your interested in some good new bands, job for a cowboy, dead water drowning, and through the eyes of the dead are good bets.
