Pho-ta-toes? Potatoes?

First and last are cool.

Photatoes? They are the best kind.

I love your focusing, you have a really nice depth of field in every photo. I've also noticed it in photos past. A few photos are out of focus though <_<

First: Crop is too close, also boring

Second: No subject, boring. Why did you take this photo? Looks like a test shot I'd take to check colour noise.

Third: Depth of field alone cannot make an interesting photograph!

Fourth: Okay, at least you have a focus point in this one. Still, it only looks not-as-bad because it's black & white.

Fifth: This is new. New is good. Perspective is also good. Dark containers in the upper part of the image, bright containers in the lower half. It's better than the previous four, but still boring.

Sixth: FINALLY, A SUBJECT! (now I know not all photographs need a subject, but it's my personal taste) Depth of field needs to be shifted more towards the insect. Complimentary colours are good; blue rope and yellowish rope framing the subject. Somehow I don't think you thought about this, though.

So in short, the last two are the best. I'm guessing you just started though, because all of these just look like test shots. Not that I have much room to talk myself, but you don't have to be a fashion expert to know if a certain dress is ugly.

I know you won't be offended by the fact I don't like these shots; I hope what I've said will help you improve, and I hope to see more of your photos soon. :)

Second: uhh, i was in school, and just trying to find some interesting places to take photos.. all the photos people take in my class are of trees so I wanted a bit of variation from that theme D: Yeah, I know what you mean though :) I think I put it up because it looked so much better in black and white and that just made me want to put it up because I loved it so much more.

Fifth: thanks :) I think this was the strongest out of the photos I took that day

Sixth: I had to be quick and didn't want to over plan this one too much as I was scared the thing would hop away, and the whole day I was on manual focus and didn't think to change it for this shot, so the focus is a little off, granted.

A lot don't have a subject because I'm not too sure how to get hold of people that would model and stuff for me  A lot of my friends are very self-concious and teeny so it's a bit difficult :(

Thanks for the comment, too :3 Yeah I started around last year christmas time with a [cabbage]ty P&S but it had good adjustable manual settings so I learnt a lot, but it broke not long after (few or so months) and I only just got my current camera (eos 1000D) in September, so this outing (all the fisherman/beachy shots) was working out the camera :)
