Hey everyone,

So I basically only play during holiday events now so I dont miss out on the item, thought this halloweens was pretty well done actually except that conversation took me forever, but anyways I noticed this new? faint emote and you have to do the mime court case for it i tried searching the forum for it but couldnt find much so if someone could fill me in on what these court cases are that'd be awesome.

And if anyone wants to tell me about any new F2P stuff i should check out that'd be great too! I pretty much haven't played since the Easter event so anything new since then.

Thanks!

Check out my Pocket Slot idea!

I'm not sure if dungeoneering came before or after easter, but yeah, new skill.

Another bonus xp weekend.

New quest series about the Void Knights.

Changed skill capes back to longer again (finally, and yeah its unimportant)

New clothes, check them out in varrock clothing shop, they look freaking awesome.

Umm, that's all that I can remember.

Oh yeah, we had Climbing Boots v 2.0 with Accuracy Amulets.

Court cases are for members i believe. You need to get a court summons, and then you get to choose to prosecute or defend. The case is something runescape related, and you interrogate witnesses, use evidence, and other things. Some people like them, I have never gotten a court summons so I would not know.

New clothing is f2p though, so check it out :D

Expanding upon this:

You obtain court summons randomly by killing creatures. I received a case from killing Warped Terrorbirds (and my drop rate chart has it currently at .33% and dropping quickly). You have to have completed King's Ransom and have 65 attack or defense (depending on whether you choose to prosecute or defend, respectively). You can take a "test" case by talking to the clerk in the Seers courthouse, and I think you have to take the first case before you can get summons as a drop. There are 17 cases to obtain, none are repeatable, and quite frankly you'll receive the court summons so infrequently that you'll forget all about them until you happen upon one while slaying or grinding mobs. Cases can involve looking at evidence, interviewing witnesses, and finally grilling the witnesses in court. You have to please the jury to get your guilty/innocent verdict.

Winning will award random items, but they're mostly just fun to do. The dialog is charming, and it's a new take on old characters (A bunch of old random event NPCs are on trial). Your reward doesn't change based on your position (prosecution/defense) and the cases don't have any effect on the outside world.

edit:

I started killing locust riders after I wrote this, for a slayer task, got a court summons after six kills. lolirony.

You can also get them as a treasure trail reward. I got one from a lvl 3 clue scroll a day ago.
