Need Help with range tank & pure

Alright Ill start off with my range tank

As of right now his stats are 50attack, 99 str, 82 def,82 range,92 mage.

My question is if I should just keep 50 attack, get 99 def and 99 range and become a range tank in p2p. I am working on 94 mage for barrage/venge btw. Or is there something else I can do to this account to make it a top pker in the game.

If I choose this option, what gear should I use? Dbolt (e) and rune xbow, but what armor? and how should I pk on him? Use barrage and just range him? Im not really sure, the last thing I pked on was my Zerker that is now ruined =S

Also on my f2p pure, I have 42attack, 84 str, 68 range and 13pray. He's level 62 and now I am seeing more def pkers than pures. So should I add some def to this char (30 or so? or just go to rune?) also I am trying to get his range up but Minotaurs seem to be too slow of exp, and fleshies just eat away my food. Is there a simpler place to range to get more exp/hour, I dont care about using food or safespots it doesnt matter to me.

Help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

High str puts you at a disadvantage vs. turm pures I think. Anyway, top pkers is maxed all combat and with a bazillion chaotics.

That strength level really messed up your tank, im sorry. Most tanks, when maxed, have 70/79, or 74/75 ATK/STR. 50/99 does give you 149 total, but it also means you can't train def with a whip. Also, such high str is kinda useless if you can't hit anyone =/. I would say try and max out your character, it will give you the best chances.

Also for your f2p character, some def might help in training, but it's either 1, 40 or as high as possible. 30 defence doesn't do anything.

Considering you don't use melee at all in pvp, your attack and strength levels won't matter if you become a range tank (75 att/75 str doesn't do crap at 100+, neither does 50 att though), as long as you keep them where they are. Training def is gonna be incredibly painful for you though, as you can't even use a d scim, but otherwise in pvp you'll be fine.

TBH the only way i can see you training def effectively is if you chin defensively.
