Graphics driver

Okay well I've let my little brother and his friends use my laptop for a day and now that I have it back I have no graphics driver or something. Upon start up of my laptop (Hp Pavilion dv6) it says I'm lacking a graphics driver and minecraft won't work either, which also says I need a graphics driver. After my talking to my friend who knows computers a lot better than I do he says all I need is the software and that I can get it for free of the internet, but I'm unsure of how to do this.

So can anyone help me please?

We need to know what graphics card you have got before we can be remotely helpful here.

 

Also note it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to have NO graphics driver at all, if this was the case your system would not be able to display anything. You must have an outdated driver or a generic driver that can't run your card properly.

Go to HP's website, and find your computer model, there should be a driver list somewhere.

C'mon guys, is it that hard just to link it for him? Guy's having some troublesome computer times :P

 

Here is your link... click it, select the operating system, and it'll take you to a list of drivers. Graphics driver is (for me) the 4th item on the list... click it, then hit the download button beside 'Nvidia Geforce'. You should be good to go =)

You need to be a little more specific then just simply "HP dv6"; that refers to an entire class of computers by HP. You need the exact model to find the driver.
