jjrox32
I'm considering building a new PC since my laptop is fried to the point where I can't even reinstall windows on it. I want to use this computer for normal uses, as well as gaming (nothing super heavy, just want to be able to play TF2, COD, and games at that level without fps lag). Just want to know if any of these parts aren't compatible with each other or if there would be issues with them. Mr_Adam
For the sake of niceness/convenience for your helpers, you may want to put links to your parts :^_^:

OldJoe
Why not a black edition of the Phenom if you're gonna overclock? (assume due to fan+mobo) E: Oh and, Corsair are funny with their new range of power supplies, they used to give you the number they said the psu produced (no one is interested in lower voltage lines). jjrox32
Wasn't really planning on overclocking it, no idea how to.

jjrox32
I had some overheating issues with my last computer, I just don't want to have to go through that again.
OldJoe
Laptops and stationarys are different when it comes to heat. You won't be overheating with an unclocked cpu and amd's own fan. 60$ is not necessary tho, get a pwm fan for around 30$ is enough if you want that. jjrox32
Alright thanks. Any issues with any of the other parts?
jasignhagj
Looks nice. Although if you want to play Black ops, you may want to look at a 460 1gb. This one is only $30 more, and will make a considerable difference. Plus in a year you can pick up another on clearance and SLI them. Two 460s easily beat a 480 in most games. Also, if you receive a monitor with a stuck pixel or dead pixel, it isn't considered a defect and you will either have to pay to RMA it or live with it. EDIT - Just noticed the 600w PSU, two cards may be pushing it. It's still a great upgrade though

jasignhagj
According to Newegg, you'd need 735 watts with your current build plus 2x460s. Getting one should still prove to be a worthwhile upgrade though.
