Someone want to explain how to plant one and where to get the seed? Searched database but nothing came up. Also, should I pay the farmer? Seems like a lot of stuff to get and takes up an hour.

you get it in nests, I believe

they're quite rare

you plant one in various patches around RS... under south of the cabbage field which you spawn in when using the cabbage-port thingy on your explorer's ring, on Etcetaria (I think), etc.

I'd pay the farmer because they're untradeable (don't know if you can, though)

You might want to report that it's not in the items database, it should be added. They have the seedlings. just not the tree

The easiest way to obtain a spirit tree seed is by putting your MTK on maples. You'll have one in no-time.

 

You can plant them in: Etcetaria, Port Sarim and Brimhaven.

I planted mine in Etcetaria. Putting it there is very nice for farm runs. (very close to the berry patch).

 

The payment is: 5 monkey nuts, 1 monkey bar and 1 ground suqah tooth.

It takes 2.5 days to grow so you don't want to get it diseased. It might take a bit of effort collecting the items but it's worth it in the end.
