Member's for a month

Hey Guys! I decided that I wanted to be a member after so many years of not playing members (3? 4?). I usually do not have nearly enough free time to dedicate to free time to warrant the membership fees, but since I'm on break for the next few weeks I figured, why not?

 

I've been so far removed that I don't even have a clue about what the best armor should be. From the time my account was hacked 3 yrs ago, I've been focusing on training and skilling so I only have 800k. I am planning on spending the first few days to raise a couple mil to buy some good armor. Can anybody recommend me a good set of armor and a decent way to make money for a few days? Here's the set up I was thinking of using:

That set up would set me back roughly 5m, so I would need to raise that relatively quickly.

 

After I have my armor, I would want to train quests. I already have 128 QP and have finished a lot of the easy ones, as well as some like hero's etc. I want to finish moneky madness, legends recipe for disaster, and a few other ones. I would like to raise my total level to 1600, but there is no way I'm going to go for a skillcape, IMO I don't really think it's worth it for me. I do wanna raise my total a few hundred points with easy skills like fletching, etc.

 

And last, I want to have fun! I want to waste time at castle wars and whatever other minigames I feel like doing.

 

Anyone have any advice for me? Thanks.

 

EDIT: I dropped most of my members stuff, but I just remembered I had two guthix pages in my bank, so that will be enough to buy all the basic armor I need (besides whip)...

I spent the last half of my month (I just finished a month was in same situation as you) doing slayer. I just couldn't stop it was so fun, I even procrastinated on questing because I wanted to slay. Now I'm eyeing summer so I can buy a 3 month with leftover paypal $$$

First of all, do quests before anything. That way, you can have the armour/weapons you already want. Don't buy the obby cape. Waste of a few hundred k. Just have your cape slot open. Dragon skirt > legs because of the price and same stats.

I'm too manly to wear a skirt :P I already have the D long and D BAxe unlocked, and obby cape is only like 50k now (I remember it used to be 400k yikes) so why not. I'm going to want to finish monkey madness as soon as I can for the skymmy, which will hold me over until I savethe 3m for a whip, I have the FoG tokens for dragon gauntlets, and rune boots will suffice (at least at first). I need a way to make money though. I used to be a member when my combat was in the 60's so my method of making money was picking flax lol. I'm going to need something a little more efficient.

Castle wars is never a waste of time :thumbsup:

 

At your level, the best thing you can do is get a spear and push people into the cave-ins, then use an explosive and BOOM, you get a 1 hit KO. It's halarious when you pull it off :wink:
