I Bought the scroll of life and i just wanted to make sure i understand how it works. You have a 10% chance of getting your seed back when farmining? Does this only work with dead herbs or does it work with both dead or alive? [spoiler=Scroll of Life!]
December 21, 201015 yr Works for both but if its dead, you get a random seed back. Lets use toadflax seeds for example. 1 in 10 alive patches = 1 toad seed back. 1 in 10 dead patches = random seed back.

Does the seed u seed u get back from the dead patch have the same or lesser value of the planted seed? or is it actually random where it can be say for example u plant a toadflax seed, the plant dies, and u get a snap seed back?

December 21, 201015 yr The 5%-thing chance is for trees as i remember. 10% is for both dead and full grown herb. Yes if your herb has died you got 10% chance to get random seed back including torstol and even goutuber ( this root from tai bwan activity ).
