Adroit
Wow... you really didn't help him or add absolutely anything to the topic... Don't be discouraged by bad criticism, it's not a bad first try, it helps to be an artist in rl, this way you know how shading and what not works, but i'll help you improve. -As mentioned, take a little more time to shade, and make it look realistic. -You need to remake the eyes, unless he's meant to look like hit got hit in tha nads... lol that was a joke, no offense - Work on your poses, his arms seem inproportionate and out of place, but that wasn't a good first pose, it was a pretty hard one. Although I know you were trying to get better, I wouldn't reccomend posting your 'first' sig, try making the next few by yourself, try self improvements, and read the sticky on tutorials for pixeling. Not a bad first attempt, but you need some work. -Adroit\\ RuneScape Retired since '06, sn= Superstud07
wcerforlyfe
..... no shading at all: work on shading 2d: work on the 3d perspective. there that better? http://www.turnpoint.net/wireless/cantennahowto.html
Aldeon
perspective is 3d as from above. 3dimensional illusion is accomplished on a 2d screen by shading. As it shows the lights sources and intensitys of relfecltions. On to the sig Perspective is off in that perspective it would be looking from above and the chair would be hardly at an angle much different than 180 degrees (or 0 for that matter) arms are weird no shoulders proportions are wrong (google a quick article on the human anatomy) Such as armspan is approx = height, arm falls about 4-5 inches above the knee standing Legs are in an awquard postion (you try that one) torso is in the shape of a capsule? (looks like my ibuprofen tablets) Sand is too yellow Perspective on bag is off too Eyes dont fit the picture Head not in porportion to the body whew there im done.... Keep practicing

Nazgul740
quite flat.... you need to shade and draw so that you can see the roundness of the arms and legs... the chest looks like a dough boy... make him a tad more skinny... thats about all... :? lemonfish
This is my first sig that i ever done. :( idk how it is, some tips would be nice. Rate if you want. As I think everyone has noticed he is very flat due to no shading, use other peoples work as examples for things like shading and colours. Also the lower half of his leg is out of proportion and your character has no thumb (like cats) MEOW! For a first time this is very good. On my first pixel everything went very wrong, I overshaded my helmet and put no shading on all other stuff.
Quer_Skulll
unless it's gone high tide all of the sudden i can't image someone would sit so close to the water  try a different perspective and put some shape into.. everything. buy a how to draw atanomy book, it helps.' practice gets you banana's
