December 24, 201015 yr Well the title says it all I guess.I got three effigies in my bank so far.Two of them require L91 smith/mining to start with, I have L88 mining atm.Can I use a familiar to temporarily boost my mining level and thus use the effigy on mining?I noticed the L73 obsidian golem boosts mining by 7 so that should do the trick, no? December 24, 201015 yr Nope I don't think so, familiars give an invisible boost so that doesn't work.If you want to boost your skills to do effigies you're going to need pots or another visible boost.Hope that helped. :thumbsup: Proud (retired) Tip.it Times Editor! December 24, 201015 yr Invisible boosts don't work, unfortunately. You'll have to stew.You can use abyssal lurker to boost +4 thieving/agility and stranger plant for +4 farming. I believe those are the only good visible familiar boosts.
