Going to be duoing tormented demons soon with a friend and was wondering what kind of approach we should take to it -

 

My Stats ~

99 Attack

99 Strength

95 Defence

99 Hitpoints

80 Prayer

82 Ranged

79 Summoning

~ Will have extremes (no overloads, nor extreme range)

~ Also have chaotic rapier, longsword, maul, crossbow, and ring of vigour to work with

~ Also have elite void including all 3 helms

 

Friends Stats ~

82 Attack

90 Strength

85 Defence

89 Hitpoints

70 Prayer

87 Ranged

68 Summoning

~ No extremes

~ Has elite void including all 3 helms, aswell as a deflector

You both "solo" tds.

Trust me duoing is not faster than soloing.

You both lack unicorns, so that's a bit to improve on. Use a bunyip/elemental titan. Other than that, you can kill 2 at the time, having one ranger one meleer, perhaps?

From my experiences a mage+range(only till shield is on) and a melee+range hyb is way faster than other duo methods and also solo

With 2 people. You can actually do it quicker. Get each person to take a side of the combat triangle, and switch demons once they switch prayers...works too well if done right...

I've been thinking of killing rocklobsters for the charms needed to go from 79-88 summoning, but I'm not sure how much it would cost to do so.. so hopefully I can get one soon.

 

And having one meleer/ranger is what I thought about, because he lacks higher melee stats while I lack higher ranged.

 

Can anyone recommend a gear/inventory setup for us?

Use the void ranged setup from the armadyl guide on here minus mith grapple...as for melee, void works scarily good...

Yep fourside got it, void is the way to go. If you exclusively melee you can also use Bandos, but you'll be more vulnerable to the random magic attacks that hit over walls. A huge advantage of Bandos is that you can tank their melee attacks (NOT the ranged attacks) with soul split and that saves a lot of health. If you want to do this, make sure the ranger is out of reach and make sure neither of you prays melee (I'm not sure if the ranger praying melee can cause it to switch to protect melee if the demon can't hit the ranger).

 

If you use a maul (= relaxed/slow switching) you may want to bring a defender for darklighting. If you use cls (medium-slow) or rapier (fastest switching & highest dps) you can use void deflector with barrows gloves. The ranger should certainly use void deflector, with diamond bolts perhaps, although broad and runite work as well of course.

Use mage if you're gonna duo there.
