Monkey Knife Fighters

Recommended Posts

I couldn't find any better place for this.

Should they be in the thieving guide? I didn't see them there..

Was wondering their loot and couldn't find anything.

[spoiler=Info I know atm, if needed.]Required level: 70 (can only assume, I didn't see it in game guide, but we need 70 theiving to do Do No Evil, where the monkeys are featured)

XP: 20 for punching them, 150 for pickpocketing.

Loot: Coins, cooked lobster, black knife, black knife (p), black knife (p+) I can confirm those, and I hear they can give Rune and Dragon scimitars.

You can fail while attempting to punch them. You can get 2 pickpockets in one KO. Can't seem to get to more.

Must be wielding a Gorilla Greegree (have not tried other monkeys though)

Sorry if this is alredy on the site and I just missed it...

Since this is a thieving guide update I think it'd be appropriate place to point out:

Under Other thieving methods for Orge coffins in loot it says "Axe (Hatchet)" given that wc axes been hatchet in-game for a while now surely this should jsut be "hatchet"

Also in the blurb about how to do it it says "You'll need to use 3 doses of Relicym's Balm to heal yourself every so often. Refer to our Herblore Guide for more information on making Relicym's Balm."

Which is extremely badly worded imo, afterall you need only drink 1 dose, not 3 as this implies and it doesn't "heal" you it cures you. and why is the reference split into a second sentence, its not a different subject matter?

Should be more on lines of:

"You'll need Relicym's Balm to cure disease should you get poisoned, refer to our Herblore Guide for more information on making Relicym's Balm."

Also same segement:

"An enchanted ruby bracelet (Bracelet of inoculation) will protect you from disease when opening a coffin, however, once the bracelet has been used, it will break. Refer to our Crafting Guide for more information on the Bracelet of inoculation."

Again no need for sentence break and slightly iffy grammar.

An enchanted ruby bracelet (Bracelet of inoculation) will protect you from disease when opening a coffin, however, once the bracelet has been used it will break; refer to our Crafting Guide for more information on making the Bracelet of inoculation.

  • 3 months later...

A Monkey Knife fighter section has been added to the guide (http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=thieving_guide.htm#monkey)

Changes should take effect soon. All posters (both topics) have been credited! Thanks so much for the info

Sy_Accursed, thanks for those corrections, the paragraph has been accordingly.
