I've been reading several guides on both these forums and the RSOF, and nearly all of the Barrows guides are either outdated or focus on maximizing kills per trip rather than kills per hour. So my question is this:

 

What is the best method to maximize chests per hour?

 

I assume Turmoil, Chaotics, and Overloads are necessary, but I need more information like recommended weapon(s), armour, inventory, etc. if I'm going to consider barrowing again.

i would think that c staff + asn + overload + ice barrage would be faster

Wouldn't using all of that kill your profit?

 

Even using Korasi's sword the entire time it doesn't take longer than 5-10 mins, depending on kill count.

 

But that's just me, I prefer more profit.

3-4 ice barrages per brother = 30k in runes per chest. and 10 mins for a chest is horrendously slow, i was getting 4:30 per chest with ice barrage + black salamander, no asn lol.

Next time I go I'll time my run using Korasis's, turm and supers, shouldn't take longer than 5 mins.

 

Also, 10 mins was with getting 13kc

takes 5 mins to kill 7 worms? :grin:

 

anyway i haven't personally been to barrows since before dungeoneering came out, it's pretty rotten money (~1.5-2m/h at max speed)

don't forget your energy pots. If you don't run out of energy at barrows then you are doing it pretty slow
