First time I've logged on in years...

First off, so much has changed since i've played and I have a few questions.

How can I figure out the best settings for my computer to RS quicker? What are the best settings?

If I start back, I will be completely lost and will have no clue where to get back on track. That being said, what's the best money making skill now? What skill will be the most helpful to earn some money? I see that we have PKing back, how is that?

Can anyone enlighten me on the new major updates the past few years? I'll post my stats, hopefully that will help. I just wished RSC was back and never changed. Too many good memories from RSC.

Wrong forum. There is a help and advice forum for a reason.

Good thing he didn't post in H&A, cause this post isn't very helpful.

OP, what was the last update you can remember/what was the best armour and weapons when you quit? Was summoning or dungeoneering out? Hunter?

Do you have an idea how stupid you just made yourself look? Honestly, there is no words to describe that.

@Swagcake please stop posting spam.

OT: The best thing you can do is just go over the list of updates on the RuneScape site and find the updates you think are important.

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

Apparently I'm not, your post got deleted

here's a good list of what's changed

e:

Last time I played, Dragon was the best armor. The best weapon at the time was an abyssal whip, which I have. Neither of those skills were out. And half of the things mentioned do not ring a bell to me. Ughh :-(

[garden tool] boy.

Armour:

Barrows is better than dragon, and Bandos is debatebly better than Barrows. I'd stick with barrows though, it's got good defence bonuses and Guthans can heal you with the full set. They degrade though, and after 12 hours of SOLID combat (I think 12) you need to pay to repair.

Whip is still good, Chaotic Rapier at level 80 dungeoneering is a bit better.

New untradeable herblore potions that boost combat skills by ALOT

Range weapons:

-Rune crossbow hits hard, is good for training when using Broad Bolts

- Dark bow for pking

- Handcannon for pking

- VOID ARMOUR, it is awesome, adds I think 15% damage and accuracy.

Magic:

- Ancient Magick spell book, combat spells for PVP mostly

- Lunar Magic spell book, skilling spells mostly

Most important ones I remember off the top of my head.

For money, green dragons in the wild are still super awesome, but keep in mind they are in the wild

Oh, on skills:

1) Hunter

- You don't really need to train this hunting Chinchompas after level 70 or 80 could be decent money though

- The most notable thing is that with the introduction of chinchompas, you can power level range to 99 in something like 40 hours. It'll cost you 10's of millions though.

2) Summoning

- You kill monsters and get charms (crimson, gold, green, or blue)

- You use those charms + Spirit Shards (have a set price of 25 gp each) + the other ingredient to make a summoning pouch

- You use that pouch to summon the creature

- Some summon monsters can store items for you, which basically increases your inventory space. Some will heal you every x seconds for a set amount of health. Some boost stats by a couple levels, some will catch fish while you are also fishing, etc.

- Most important ones are the ones that act as second inventory and the healing ones

3) Dungeoneering

- Haven't trained this much

- basically you go into a dungeon by yourself or with a team, it starts you with nothing and if you die you respawn at the start point.

- You need to work your way through the dungeon, killing things and solving puzzles to get to the boss monster at the end

- You can mine and make armour and weapons in the dungeon, make potions from herbs you find, etc. You cannot bring anything in

- It's a mini game essentially

- Rewards are new prayers for range and mage, new weapons that are really good (level 80 dungeoneering needed), some other stuff

- You get the rewards with points, which you will receive one of for every 10 exp you get. 10 million exp = 1 million tokens/points. If you plan to go for the good level 80 weapon, you need to not spend any tokens until you buy it, because at level 80 you will have EXACTLY enough tokens for it

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

I'm still debating if I should buy memebers and play again. It would take so long to get back where I was. I gave away majority of my stuff to my friends who just started because I'm a nice guy.

All I have that is valuable is dragon shield and abby whip.

I see that members is now $5.95.

Yeah it's pretty cheap. If you want something new to do, dungeoneering is f2p too. Granted you won't be able to use everything or spend your rewards on members stuff, but you could train it and save the tokens for when you get members

Is there any way I can transfer stuff to my other account? Or is that impossible now? I have full set of dragon on one of my accounts, but I want it on the other. Is that possible?

Transfering items between accounts is highly illegal even using a "middle man". If you have multiple accounts they are in no way allowed to interact with each other even with the use of a middle man (in other words trading the items to a friend then having him/her trade it to the other account)

Not unless you want to risk getting in trouble for trading between personal accounts.

Um, farming herbs is decent money, you have the stats to start out with it methinks. Get the level for toadflax if you can, doing the ardougne/falador/catherby/ectophial farm patches. (ok, ectophial is not a place but still)

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Void armour is 20% damage 10% accuracy. Guthan's set should never be used (if you need it, use a protect prayer + proselyte or a bunyip + EE or heck, food). It's 15 hours for barrows last time I checked. It does have very good defence and is around 40m cheaper than bandos, so it's a good start. Get Verac's skirt and Guthan's plate.

Handcannon is good in both pvp and pvm, but I recommed a high fm level (90+). Use karil's crossbow until then. The dark bow is just suck, if you have a decent ranged level use Morrigan's.

To OP: get 70 prayer & piety.
