Yes, the background is a bit lame, but I plan to remedy that with practice. Do post your thoughts, though.

I think its a great 1st attempt. Although i wouldnt realy know.(check out my post on media discussion and you will see what i mean) compared to mine id say you have done an excelent job. keep it up.

I think the objects were done on a white background, dithered and then moved to the current background. I don't think it's a rip.
