Emp75
Is is possible to use a computer monitor to play Xbox 360? I'm thinking of a cable that has a VGA port on 1 side and an HDMI on the other. I looked on Bestbuy but all they had was a converter kit or something like that which costed well over $100. I was thinking more along the lines of like a $10-$20 cable.

Emp75
Hmm more expensive than what I thought but how would the sound work? The monitor doesn't have speakers and the only speakers I have go into a headset port which I don't believe an xbox has.
jasignhagj
If your monitor has DVI, it's better to use a HDMI - DVI cable.

Make sure yours doesn't have one before you go about buying something like that.
Emp75
I'm not sure what DVI is, but I know it does not have HDMI. The monitor is quite old actually, probably near 5-7 years.

Neomop
There are Xbox VGA cables. Grab one of those. Probably like $20 off ebay or something

Sound is another matter however since neither VGA nor DVI carry sound; you'll need to get a separate cable to carry sound for the speakers.
