Simple advice: nvr ever ever ever ever ever use the default glow unless it blends in with the BG. Most of the time for those glows you wanna change it to the same color of the BG but a lil' darker or lighter so it stands out

Its not really a logo, its more of a banner.

To me a logo is more of a picture and something small that is easily identified, you can make it bigger and smaller and it will still work. Such as the firefox logo. This is just a banner, a random background and a simple text blending effect, theres unfortunatly a lot to criticise on this and not much to praise :(

The colours (background, font etc) clash and look horrible.

The background itself is just odd, is it supposed to look like scales?

What is the swirly white glow about? It certainly doesnt match anyhitng.

The slogan looks ok. Its a good colour and the font looks perfect for this. Big shame about the use of the default glow however. I'm sure you could have done something a lot better than that if you tried.

Now I come onto the text itself. Can i first mention that it is an AWFUL use of this font, its far too thin and not meant for use in large font sizes. The bevels that you put on it look like a really rushed job to do some kind of effect and the texture that on it just makes it look dirty.

I dont know what the rest of your site looks like and maybe it fits in with the theme quite well but as a stand alone "logo" it just looks like something auto generated with flamingtext.com
