Dire_Wolf
Ok. I am planning to rent players who i can trust through these requirements:1) Must have 3 easy 99s (fletc, cooking)2) or a hard 99 (99 rc, herb) I went to a skiller cc, because someone told me it wud be safer to rent out to small closed skiller clan chats. So i did, but i was told "This is not a market place". So they didn't even think of the offer before i got told to leave. So i can't do that. But my QUESTION is: If i loan out a item to a player for let's say 5 days. When the 5 days have past, and i go meet the player to get my item back. What if the player refuses? How can i prove to Jagex that i have not received back my item? Is there a way?I am thinking i can't prove it, as it would be hard to prove that loaner have not returned item through tradebox loaning even with a video as proof. I understand loaning out items through Loanbox is safest way, but i want to make a renting service. And my biggest issue right now is how i can prove that loaner have not returned my item. Pat_61
You can't... the only way to lend and item and KNOW you get it back, is with the lend system... other than that its free game.... tripsis
Even if you could prove it to Jagex, you wouldn't get your items back :( Jagex doesn't return any lost/stolen items. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Since you have posted Trips, i will go into detail ok? I was hoping to rent out Dragon pickaxes to players with hard 99s or three "easy" ones. So if that player scams me: I loose pickaxe, they loose account? Knowing they lost their account is justice enough  But i need to find a way to prove that loaned item haven't been returned. BloodAngel
Problem is you have chosen to give them the item and Jagex would have no way of knowing wether you gave it to them as a gift or just leant it to them. So if they refuse to give it back you lose said item and nothing happens to them. You would just be lending the item through the lending thing if you want 100% certainty you will get your item back. tripsis
Yeah adding onto what BloodAngel said, I'm not even entirely sure that they would lose their account. Even if they agreed to give it back, you still gave the item away fully knowing the risks. So it would definitely be against the spirit of the game, but I'm not sure if Jagex would ban over it. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Dire_Wolf
Thanks for replies. Very annoyed that i can't prove it. :-( A last question, wouldn't this be emergent something? I mean the way to earn cash in Runescape. By renting out items to people. I remember reading a post about Emergent something by Jagex.
Th e Doctor
if it wasn't for the fact that jagex already implemented a way to rent items out to players maybe. Aiel
if it wasn't for the fact that jagex already implemented a way to rent items out to players maybe. Edit Please don't use yellow font...Sorry, why not yellow?hard to read. And its emergent gameplay, and jagex has there definition of emergent gameplay terribly mixed up so no, it wouldn't be. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
