I would recamend 2x 512mb sticks (pc3200) in dual channel.
runesmithie
I would recommend getting 512MB first and seeing how that works out, sicne from what you say you have less than 512 I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam. Militaris
You should not get any lag from a 1GB stick unless it is faulty. I have heard that extra ram can causes a slight performance decrease if it is not being used. But I believe such a decrease is not noticeable with real use. If the extra ram is needed system performance would improve. The cost of 1GB of ram depends on which country you are from, Because you did not include a location I would assume you are from the USA (they are the worst for not including location) 2 x 512MB costs from $70 (+ shipping) upwards from Newegg. sdawg1010
It is most definatly the graphics card i would advise an ATI card 128mb ATI is good it will take another 200+ outta ur wallet but its worth it in the end

Stuart_G
CoV still dosn't work i got 950+ MB of ram -_- 100 $ down the drain Not a complete waste of money, it might not have made it able for you to play the game, but its still going to help you with every day tasks and it will let you run more things at once. Did you make sure the ram you bought matched what you already had? That might be a problem, but mismatched ram shouldnt really make much difference. As for a new graphics card This one if you have a PCI-e 16x slot This one if you have a AGP 8x slot They are two relatively good cards for a decent price. If you have the money, they might be worth looking into.
