Smoke Dungeon

I can't get in the smoke dungeon despite wearing a facemask and having started the "Desert Treasure" quest. What else do I have to do?

You're probably at the Smoking Kills well. The smoky well from Desert Treasure is outside of town to the west.

What does your in game guest thingy say?

Something like "why would I want to go down a well in the middle of the desert"

Have you looked through the mirror to TELL you to go into the well?

I mean the guide that says what you're supposed to do next. In your quest tab, click Desert Treasure, what's the thing on the list not crossed off yet?

Thank you, I thought I just had to start the Desert Treasure Quest. I did the mirrors and now I have access to the smoke dungeon to kill dust devils! Hooray.

Just think about it this way

If you weren't using a guide, what would be the next logical thing you would do?

If you never even looked at a guide, you wouldn't know to go into the smoke dungeon.
