(got no pic but should be easy to check) Also at tip and tricks there is this written:"f you don't want to do another lantern lens, you can use a sapphire on your bulls-eye lantern to get the lens out of it."It would be nice to say that the lantern lens will be destroyed in the quest. Seems like this got overlooked in the quest guide so I've made the change as you suggested and credited you both.
