When the Party is Over...

Back again with a few new shots; these are all before post-production.

I think I wanna darken* them up and its all 1 shot really with 3 different focal points.

So yeah critique on what's good/bad and which you think is the better composition. Personally I'm thinking number 3 is the most interesting focally, perhaps number 1; though I think I missed the focus slightly on 1 (was aiming to get the bottle cap, but back edge isn't quite sharp)

*by darken I mean mostly desaturate, with a lil bit of upping the blacks and turning down the brightness just to give a slightly more sombre mellow feeling

To be brutally honest it looks like you just stood in front of it, and took the picture, witch little consideration to things like composition. I think if you had experimented with different angles and lighting (look at the shadow on the wall from the bottle, could have done something with that), you could have a good shot.

None of these really stand out for me.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

I'd agree if I hadn't stood for several minutes sorting out the blinds, shot angle and bottle arrangement to create the shot I wanted.

But art is subjective afterall so not everyone gonna like the same shots. I think I wanna crop down number 3 a bit and desaturate but oversaturate/keep the lipstick that is on one of the bottles.

Had a play with post production, not sure I'm happy with it yet though. Artistically not feeling as good about it as my last few, but I think technically in terms of composition the grid focal point stuff and that I think its better.

I'm going to have to agree with Ouchy, the subject matter really doesn't help though. Maybe if you'd played around with one bottle at different angles with the light hitting it different ways...but.

All I see the is same shot, three times over, only with different focus.

It is the same shot with 3 different focuses; hence the whole deciding which is best to continue with line of thought.

And I could play with 1 bottle, but I wasn't exploring the anatomy of a bottle I was going for a collective "when the party is over" or "morning after" vibe hence the name of the thread and the direction taken in the piece I have done some post production on.

Interest is subjective.

You could view the most technically and artistically perfect photo in the world; doesn't guarantee you'll find it interesting.

I might play with the bottles some more though.

This I agree with. I, to be honest, look at photos because I enjoy looking at them. I have no real preference for any subject matter, thus it doesn't bother me int his case.
