Cheefoo
I hear people talking about avoiding certain bosses by not going to specific floors? Also, I hear people going to "thunderous floors" to practice their technique, but how do they know what floors? If it's true that certain floors are guaranteed to have certain bosses, I'd like to see some kind of list perhaps. I'm hoping to get a celestial catalytic staff, and if I knew where the unholy cursebearer is going to be, it would make it a whole lot easier to get. Not sure what help and advice forum to post this in, but I'd think the efficient one would know more about dungeoneering. Thanks! Bassy
Thunderous floors are 45-47. This is because the level requirement for Thunderous also unlocks floor 45. He cannot be found on lower because then someone without that level wouldn't be able to kill him technically. He cannot be found on 48+, because those are warped floors, and Thunderous is an Occult-specific boss. The same kind of figuring goes with all other bosses, some are just more widely available (e.g. Runebound Behemoth on all of the occults). So basically, find the Unholy Cursebearer's level requirement, and the floor unlocked with it. From that floor to the next floor type (abandoned, warped, etc) are all of the floors you can fight him on. Hope this helps. From what you're saying, you can only find Yk'Lagor on floors 45, 46, 47. Is he certain to appear there, or are there other bosses that can be on those floors? I've only recently heard about people "avoiding" certain floors, and looking for a specific boss, so I'm not sure if there's some kind of method of knowing exactly what boss resides on a floor. Obtaurian
You're never guaranteed to get the boss, but you're far more likely to at the level you unlock that boss. Rune wiki actually has a good list of bosses and their floors. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
jettrider
You are very likely to get the boss that is the highest one available compared to the floor you are doing. For example, Occult bosses: Trio/behemoth/gravecreeper at f36Necrolord at f39Flesh Spoiler at f42Thunderous at f45 Necrolord is the one boss you want to avoid if you don't have a hexhunter bow. The easiest boss is Flesh Spoiler, closely followed by Thunderous, so repeatedly doing f45-f47 for all of your occult floors cuts down on the time per boss. On the Abandoned floors you want to avoid Skeletal Horde, though the four bosses not unique to 30-35 are much less common anyway. Doing 33-35 would help minimize your chances, but doing 30-35 straight is fine too. For Warped floors, you want to avoid Warmonger because he takes the longest out of all the bosses. Since he only appears on four floors, you should NOT use 57-60 to fill in 48-56. However, you should still do 57-60 to get credit for 57-60 to avoid losing exp. After some recent changes to warped bosses, I'm not sure how the new order goes, but Hope Devourer is still very easy. Possibly repeat 51-53 for 48-53. 2496 Completionist
Youmu
Unholy cursebearer appears most often on f15-17, but I don't know a lot of people on a members' world who would 5:5 abandoned 1 floors. Same holds true for Har'Lakk the Riftsplitter on f18-20. (Assuming you want celestial catalytic and primal rapier.)
