MY PROGRESS TOWARDS RULING THE WORLD!

Hello, my name is jacob and i am creating a blog about gaining levels and leveling progress on my main account. I also have another blog about my range tank.

My main's name is "free free" or "L2 GATE" and these are my starting stats:

Of course my end goals would be all 99's and 120 dung, but I'm creating this blog to get your opinions on training methods toward my short term goals. Most of my goals wont be achieved by the most expensive of fastest methods, since I would like to make a good amount of money and not spend a lot so I can enjoy this game with out pinching pennies when having fun with friends. I am not going to be including quests in this blog because I am tired of doing them :wall: my quest points are 297/316. I will try to update this blog once a week!

Training method: I'll probably break down and chin this even though i hate spending the money and i just got a pair on ranging brawlers...profit/cost: -10m

 

Training method: Fletch yew longbows until 85, then 85-99 magic longbows...profit/cost: +2.6m

Training method: Mine iron ore? with dragon pickaxe...profit/cost: unknown

just bought all the bones for 95 prayer =] and im about 170k from 99 def =] then ill probably train range on frost dragons

Gold charms=Barker toads Green charms=Hydra Crimson charms=Granite lobs 81-83, Spirit dags 83-85, Swamp titans 85-88

i should have about 5k golds, 5k greens, 15k crimsons, 1.5k blues by next tuesday

and should i use range at the fiends to get 99 range or use melle for faster charms per hour?

whats the charms per hour from bursting rock lobs? and how much does it cost per hour? do they drop anything to make your money back?

ive kinda put summoning on the back burner since if i do waterfiends itl take me about 3 weeks of fiends to get enough for yak...i currently have 88 banked but i'm too lazy to do it =p

summoning would end up costing about 48m from my calculations and i currently only have a 37m cash stack, so im going for 80 smithing(-2m) but after that i have no clue because there are so many skills to choose from and i cant decide which skill is actually worth my time...

every skill i have a goal sig on is boring and dont have many rewards

range=armadyl?

fletch=nothing? just another 99...

craft=sc robes and dung armor

smith=sc armor/dagger

minging=prom ore in dung? i dont even have the smithing lvl for it and it is very low money per hour

herb=ovls but it costs more then i have...

agility=agile? and another shortcut that ill never use

thieving=sc stealing mage's runes? good money but per/hour its kinda crappy

rc=sc runes, dung rune

hunter=sc level 5 tree

sum=uni =]

dung=amazing rewards but takes forever without a team and the only people i can find are [developmentally delayed]s and illiterates.

i guess i just cant find anything worth training and im kinda losing interest in the game...

Not a clue. As I've had 99 magic for a long time I never actually bothered to try this out.

All I know is that they're faster for charms than waterfiends, but I personally get my charms from waterfiends, slayer and Bork (good idea to kill daily for the drops).

 

As for Rock Lobster drops, refer to its Bestiary entry.

 

....because there are so many skills to choose from and i cant decide which skill is actually worth my time...

 

Do skills you enjoy, or switch between them to avoid grinding. Farming runs are good for extra money.

If waterfiends, refer to the guide I linked you in the previous post. Having armadyl armour is generally quite useful, though if you want an offence based setup for waterfiends, use void ranged + armadyl chest plate (deflector counts to get the void bonus). When slayer, full slayer helm and armadyl armour would be fine.

Happens I guess. Sometimes you just need to take a break from games.

 

What keeps me at it is doing LOADS of other things at the same time. Being Website Crew here gives me an excuse, and Rs is generally more fun if you have a bunch of friends to mess about with, or (TET) events. Dungeoneering with skype is much better also, though skype calls make the game more enjoyable whatever you do.

none of my friends are unterested in dung lmao...and i cant stand constantly being paired with the terrible people of w117/w148...

i dont like to kill anything with range...im getting it up from cannoning frost dragons and the only reason i want 99 is to do armadyl gwd...

but for now ive just been killing frosts to get $$ for ovls and killing people in the clan wars safe portal

Just cleaned up and updated this blog, welcome to all comments...i would very much like advice on my training methods if there's faster or cheaper ways! thanks for all your help and time...is there anything worth killing with range worth money? like that's faster to kill with range than melle?

Dunno. Haven't done that since the RoW update.

It all depends on the drops (they drop herb seeds, rune boots and such), but as far as chinning creatures goes, nechs are very cheap.
