tttia
I brush them on in painter. I use a camelhair brush variant (essentially like a regular round paintbrush), and just use various levels of transparency etc. I might do a tutorial if I get around to it. I have 27 saved steps along the way.

tttia
Lol, I am well aware of that :) In fact I have one on the sticky already for painting faces. But everyone uses some different techniques. for instance on this one I blew out the saturation on the reference at one point to be better able to see the skin tones more easily. I didn't know to do that previously. Also , especially in painter, etc. there are many brush setting options, tool options etc.

tttia
Thanks, this one had somewhat limited coloration as far as green, blue pigments, though there were some purple. But I wanted to stay close to the original lighting.
Dyronamics
Hmm.... (Our) right side of her upper lip continues a little further than the bottom lip suggesting shes made a slip when applying lipstick. I think that having both shoulders bare (I'm assuming that (her) right shoulder is bare but theres a wisp of hair curling round that does make it seem a little like a tube (heh) or perhaps an undetailed fur trim) or covered would give the hair either better contrast against the skin or give the face a better framing effect. Either way I like the shading of the neck, pretty realistic and the pink skillfully blended into the cheeks Shoulders are still bothering me, her right one appears to be oddly higher than her left and the skin shading on the left one is increasingly making me think of a curved pipe.... In fact, is that a shoulder at all or is she standing at an angle to us with a fur trimmed something halfway down her shoulders with her left shoulder hidden somewhere under the bottom right corner? I think I've finally realised what your style of digital art reminds me of.... oil pastels, smooth blending and no sharp changes of colour.... I'll have to have another look in that book I was browsing to check.... Keep up the good work :) Superknight/Blademaster: Level 150; Hps: 132Theoretical damage per round: 234Highest recorded damage in one round:
