Doomster
Like "alignment"? Slay innocent villagers, monks, city guards, white knights and you move toward evil. Monsters, dark wizards, black knights and you move towards good. There could be some quests available only to the good, and some only to the evil ... there is one, I think, where you do choose sides. Drift_In_Blood
Yeah.. you know what i mean.. i guess runscape doesn't really size up to the other massive MMOs out there when it comes to that
Bubsa
Yes...but no. Had you asked me if I wanted them 2 years ago, without today's community, I would have bitten your hand off. (Metaphorically >.<) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
IceBlackIce
There are some quests that gives you a chance to stand by a side and get different items (or lack of). I dont remember wich but theres one quest where you have to turn some valves in ardougne and if you stand by one side you get a nice item. The quest where you use the quest of lucien, i think dependending of your actions you get or not an item too. But yeah i would love those alignments status in runescape or even some habilities (spells, atacks whatever) especially designed toward some actions. That would cause a lot more diversity between players. *** [ END ]: You gained 1,671,000 thieving exp in 9mins 44secs. That's 10,300,684 exp/h.Dragon Drops - 1 Skirt

shade_bandyt
the only "alignment" that stays with you throughout the game i know of is which gang you are a member of (phoenix or black arm). and even in these gangs it really doesnt give you much more of a role, and only comes in handy with the related quest, but not in day-to-day gameplay Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription? Are you an F2P player that wants more bank space? Check out my guide on Going to F2P with a full bank
CrabPeople999
i think that this is a pretty good idea. do u mean things like good vs. evil, or like elf, orc, man, mage, etc.? if the second, then i suggest that u play warcraft. :D i dont like warcraft by the way. i like the simplicity involved in f2p rs. :D
Zerocool11
I think in time RS will develop into more of a story line game. I think the idea of alignments between factions is an interesting one, the only problem is that it is a long and complicated thing to figure out and try to achieve. Jagex has started something similar by their extended quest. Hence, Plague City, the whole Iban Staff thing and all that jazz is their attempt at more of a storyline, role playing thing. But something has to be said for the unique style of do whatever you want when you want thing that RS offers. I think that would be ruined somewhat by the introduction of a bigger picture. Yes, good point.. sorry for the double post.. but, this guy has a good p oint in saying that introducing alignment may ruin the "free for all" aspect of the game
Toxicologist
Well one thing about Runescape is that you can be any job, anyone you want, completely free self-roleplay. If they introduce restricting in-game roleplay, like jobs, vocations, faction alignments and such, it would destroy the free factor of the game; like people said. What makes Runescape unique is it's free self-roleplay. I can't say I would be sorry if it went though. Why do you resist? My experiments are only helping humanity push the boundaries of the Art of Toxicology... you should be proud to be one of my victims. ~Toxicologist~
